Is it really a surprise Michael gets honored? I’m sure he’d have fit even the most prestigious of awards, this being a WELL deserved accomplishment from yet another BET Super-Awards Show. Shout out to Gyant posting the scoop!!
No, your eyes do not receive you, BET J is now BET Centric. And if that’s not confusing enough the new channel is also bringing back the ancient Soul Train Awards. But with a modern twist.
According to theexaminer.com, the 2009 Soul Train Awards are due to take place November 3 in Atlanta, Georgia and will later air on Centric November 29.
Drake, Ryan Leslie, Solange, Musiq Soulchild, Raphael Saadiq, Mary Mary, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke, Mario, Smokie Norful, Marvin Sapp, Keyshia Cole, Trey Songz, Monica and more are also nominated for awards ranging from Best New Artist to Best Collaboration.
Academy Award nominated talent Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson will host the revamped show, which returns on a new network (Centric) after an over two year hiatus.
